There is a child size desk and computer space for our preschool children to practice basic computer skills and learn through age appropriate websites such as ABC mouse before entering grade school. The computer is easily put away to accomodate science and math activities that may be beyond the skill level of our younger friends.
The interior of our dress up cabinet compliments our Home Sweet Home center by doubling as a market complete with food, cart, baskets, bags, and register. It is changed out depending on our current preschool theme.
Our swingset is a smaller size with a glider, two swings, playhouse below with cafe window and bench, covered clubhouse above with lookout windows, and a bumpy slide. It is perfect for toddler age children to practice swinging, climbing, sliding, and their own dramatic play scenerios.
Our Construction Zone is still under construction. I would love to expand it with a chalkboard to map out all construction plans, pegs and hooks for tools, vests, and hard hats, and shelving with loose items for building such as short wood planks, tubing, and blocks.
We have a wonderful wooden sandbox with soft playground sand, four seats, and three bins of buckets, molds, shovels, and accessories. It is covered when not in use for cleanliness and shaded by a 9 foot tilt umbrella. It is definately a favorite around here!
Our farmhouse playhouse complete with small play kitchen, porch chairs for people watching, and garden area is as cute as it is fun. We update the garden area seasonally with pumpkins for fall, trees at christmas, and will begin planting a live garden this Fall for some hands on learning.
We have two outdoor, covered picnic tables that are perfect for picnics in the Spring and Fall as well as providing a space to bring typical indoor activities out in the fresh air like crafts and sensory play.
